Watch AFDS presentations on your iPhone or Android
June 27, 2012 by Tony DeYoung
I spend 45 minute/day on boring cardio equipment so I have made great use of the AMD Fusion Developer Summit (AFDS) iPhone app. I’ve caught up on a bunch of the technical sessions (I had only watched the keynotes previously). The app also lets you view PDFs of the presentations.
For you Android users, the Android AFDS-D app appears identical.
Note: Before you use the app, you need to register online at inxpo.com/events/amd/afds-d and respond to a confirmation email. Registration gives you the username and password you need to log in. But that annoyance is minor. The content is actually pretty great.
If you are a developer and are inspired by any of the AFDS presentations, download the AMD APP SDK and start developing your own next-gen parallel OpenCL or Heterogeneous Computing app.
